entire afternoon tour of said good things? Sunday, in honor of Dan’s
visit from Sacramento, Zack, Dan, Alison, Sterling and I set out to
the Seattle donut tour that Zack and I have only joked/dreamed about.
We started our tour at Top Pot, where we sampled the Chocolate

It’s Monday morning . . . and the allure of “the job” is at its weekly low. In honor of the dim view—I’ve been happily playing The National’s Boxer all morning. And I’ve decided to claim “Squalor Victoria” as my anthem:

This morning, I was reading a post on the New York Times blog Paper Cuts,
in which people were offering their favorite quintessential passages
from literature, and I came across one by Eugene O’Neill. As I read,
another voice took over—Dr. Pell’s. “This,” she said. “This is
modernism.” In a precise, authoritative voice with just a slight falter . . .

Change in the air

Even though there was frost and fog this morning, the smell in the
air and the promise of a 60° F day, proves that spring is well on its
way.

In honour of the approaching season, I present you with a poem penned by my 6/7/8 year-old self (I can’t quite remember). . . .

It’s raining and it’s Monday . . . and I’m a wee bit bored with nothing of interest to relate. So, instead, I’m <strike>sharing</strike>* itemizing some of the interesting/tasty/good-to-know Seattle links I’ve ran across over the past few days. . . .
